DraftKings has made the decision to remove Jade Roper-Tolbert as the winner of the NFL Millionaire Maker DFS contest earlier this month.
Tolbert, a former Bachelor contestant, was the winner of the feature daily fantasy sports contest, defeating more than 105,000 entrants to claim the top prize of US$1 million.
However controversy arose when an investigation was launched into allegations that Jade had worked alongside husband Tanner to circumvent the terms and conditions of the contest.
Both players had entered the maximum number of 150 entries, and between them, had produced 298 unique lineup combinations.
After their investigation, DraftKings announced on Twitter that it had decided to update the standings for several contests but refused to comment any further on the violations.
Since the announcement, Jade Tolbert was removed as the winner of the Millionaire Maker contest with second-place finisher “spclk36” elevated to the first-place prize of US$1 million.
The investigation by DraftKings had clearly determined that Jade Tolbert was in violation of their multi-accounting policy and had determined Jade and Tanner had entered the maximum number of unique lineups in order to gain an unfair advantage in the contest.
