Australian horse racing data and analytics provider BetMakers Technology Group have signed a commercial agreement with Tom Waterhouse to develop new wagering products including a betting app.
The app is designed to offer punters access to the best prices across Australian bookmakers and will be launched to the 80,000 members of tomwaterhouse.com by mid 2020.
Besides providing punters with a quality product, the app will also appeal to wagering operators as a customer acquisition platform.
In addition to the app, the partnership will see the development of a trading desk which is a business-to-business “Managed Trading Services” solution designed for use by wagering operators.
Under the terms of the agreement, BetMakers will receive revenue generated from the app and trading desk with the Waterhouse Group.
BetMakers CEO Todd Buckingham said the agreements are likely to have a positive financial impact on the business from 2021.
“We have made a considered decision to invest additional resources into our technology and team, including with respect to these agreements with the Waterhouse Group and other opportunities which have presented in the North American market,” said Buckingham.
“We strongly believe the opportunities for future growth justify our decision to make this investment now.”
